It is very important to make sure a child has a magical mermaid experience. Having a performing mermaid show up to an event wearing the same tail as the child is something that should be avoided at all costs. This is why commonly purchased fabric tails such as finfun, are not recommended for mermaid performers. A professional mermaid should wear a realistic tail that isn’t easily recognized by children as a “costume” companies may not be listed here for this reason.
